  • 1½ cups of Arborio rice.
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely minced.
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil.
  • 2 cups of chicken broth.
  • 1½ cups of finely chopped tomatoes.
  • 1 teaspoon of saffron.
  • 400 grams of cleaned and peeled shrimp.
  • 150 grams of squid, sliced into rings.
  • 1 cup of frozen peas.
  • Salt, to taste.
  • Black pepper, to taste.

Preparation Method

Step 1: Sauté the Garlic

  1. Heat the olive oil in a suitable pot over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 2: Cook the Rice

  1. Add the Arborio rice to the pot and stir for about 5 minutes.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and sprinkle the saffron, black pepper, and salt over the rice. Mix well.

Step 3: Add the Tomatoes

  1. Stir in the chopped tomatoes. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.

Step 4: Simmer the Mixture

  1. Once the mixture boils, reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and stir occasionally to ensure the rice cooks evenly and absorbs the flavors.

Step 5: Add the Seafood and Peas

  1. Add the squid rings, shrimp, and frozen peas to the pot. Stir gently and let the mixture cook until all the ingredients are fully cooked and tender.
