Chocolate and Biscuit Cake – Recipe for Chocolate and Biscuit Cake
Chocolate and Biscuit Cake, also known as layered chocolate and biscuit cake, is one of the most delicious and mouthwatering desserts. This dessert stands out for its amazing taste, ease of preparation, and beautiful appearance. It is particularly loved by children and is a great option for family gatherings or special occasions.
Ingredients for Chocolate and Biscuit Cake:
- 8 eggs
- 1 ½ cups of sugar
- 3 cups of flour
- 2 tablespoons of vanilla powder
- 2 tablespoons of baking powder
- 1 cup of melted chocolate
- 1 packet of biscuits
- 1 teaspoon of baking improver
- 1 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of warm milk
- 1 cup of mixed nuts
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 lemon
- A few drops of white vinegar
- A little melted butter
How to Prepare Chocolate and Biscuit Cake:
In a deep bowl, add the eggs, lemon zest, and a few drops of white vinegar. Beat the ingredients well using an electric mixer for about 10 minutes.
Gradually add the sugar and vanilla, continuing to beat at high speed.
Add the lemon juice, vegetable oil, and milk, and continue mixing until all the ingredients are well combined.
Begin adding the flour, baking powder, and baking improver in small batches. Increase the mixer speed and add the remaining milk and a few drops of warm water, mixing well for about 10 minutes.
Pour half of the mixture into a greased and floured cake pan.
For the other half of the mixture, add the melted chocolate and mix well using the electric mixer.
Pour this chocolate mixture into a separate greased and floured cake pan.
Place both pans in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the cakes are fully cooked.
Once both cakes are done, remove them from the oven and invert them onto a cooling rack. Let the cakes cool slightly.
After about three hours, use a sharp, long knife to mark the middle of the cake by its height.
Cut each cake into two equal halves. Place the first sponge cake layer onto a suitable serving plate. Spread a layer of melted chocolate on top and sprinkle with crushed biscuits.
Carefully place the first layer of the chocolate cake on top of the sponge cake layer to align them perfectly.
Repeat the process of spreading melted chocolate and sprinkling crushed biscuits between the layers until you have a stacked cake made of sponge, chocolate cake, and biscuits.
Coat the entire cake with a layer of chocolate and attach biscuits around the sides and top of the cake.
Serve the layered chocolate and biscuit cake with any type of beverage of your choice.
