Ingredients for Baked Chicken Wings:
For the sauce:
- 2 cubes of butter.
- 1 small onion, finely chopped.
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced.
- 1 cup of tomato juice.
- A few canned peaches.
- 1 cup of balsamic vinegar.
- 1 vegetable stock cube.
- 2 tablespoons of natural honey.
- ½ tablespoon of spicy pepper paste or hot sauce.
- 1 tablespoon of mustard.
For the chicken marinade:
- 1 tablespoon of paprika.
- ½ tablespoon of coarse salt.
- ½ tablespoon of dried thyme.
- ½ tablespoon of black pepper.
- A pinch of cayenne pepper.
- 1 kilogram of chicken wings.
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Instructions for Baked Chicken Wings:
Prepare the sauce:
- Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until golden brown, stirring constantly.
- Add the garlic and continue to sauté.
- Next, add the tomato juice, canned peaches, balsamic vinegar, vegetable stock cube, honey, pepper paste, and mustard.
- Stir well, then add half a cup of water. Let the sauce simmer until it thickens and becomes well-blended. Once done, set it aside.
Marinate the wings:
- In a large bowl, place the chicken wings and drizzle with olive oil. Toss the wings to coat evenly.
- Add the spices: paprika, salt, thyme, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix the wings well to ensure they are fully coated with the marinade.
- Allow the wings to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Bake the wings:
- Preheat the oven and place the marinated wings on a baking tray.
- Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, remove the wings from the oven and pour the prepared sauce over them. Cover the tray with aluminum foil.
- Return the wings to the oven and bake until fully cooked.
