Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry – Recipe and Preparation Method
Beef and broccoli stir-fry is a delicious main course that can be served on the dining table. This dish is known for its perfect taste and numerous health benefits, containing high levels of nutrients that are beneficial to the human body. It is especially favored by athletes and those on a diet due to its low-calorie content.
Ingredients for Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry:
- 500 grams of beef fillet, cut into slices
- 1 teaspoon of cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
- 1 large onion, chopped into small cubes
- 3 cups of broccoli florets
- 1 large carrot, cut into thin slices
- 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons of finely grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon of red chili pepper
- 1/2 cup of water
For the Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1.5 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 1.5 teaspoons of vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 3/4 cup of broth
For Garnishing:
- 1 green onion stalk
- 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds
Preparation Method:
Marinate the Beef:
- In a large, deep bowl, place the beef slices, add soy sauce and cornstarch, and mix well using your fingers until the slices are fully coated with the mixture.
Prepare the Sauce:
- In another large bowl, combine the soy sauce, cornstarch, honey, vinegar, sesame oil, and broth. Whisk them together using a hand whisk until you get a smooth and thick sauce.
Cook the Beef:
- Heat sunflower oil in a large, heavy-bottomed skillet over medium heat until hot. Add the beef slices and cook, turning them with tongs until they are golden brown on both sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
Stir-Fry the Vegetables:
- In the same skillet, add the carrot slices, chopped onion, and broccoli. Stir well using a wooden spoon, then add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and chili pepper, and continue to stir.
Add the Sauce:
- Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet along with the water. Stir continuously for about 7 minutes until the vegetables are cooked, and the sauce thickens.
Combine with Beef:
- Return the cooked beef slices to the skillet and let them cook with the vegetables and sauce for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the dish is well combined and heated through.
Serve:
- Transfer the beef and broccoli stir-fry to a serving dish, garnish with sliced green onion and sesame seeds, and serve hot. You can also serve it with white rice on the side.
