Cake Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter

Cake Soaking:

  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup of milk

Brigadeiro Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
  • Chocolate sprinkles (as desired)

Topping Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup of whipped cream
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 200 grams of dark chocolate sprinkles

Preparation Method:

  1. Prepare the Cake:

    • In a suitable bowl, combine the eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Mix all ingredients until well combined.
    • Add the salt, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and milk, and mix until smooth.
    • Gradually add the flour and oil while stirring continuously. Then add the melted butter and mix again.
    • Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with flour, then pour the cake mixture into it. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for about 30 minutes until cooked through.
  2. Prepare the Soaking Mixture:

    • In a suitable bowl, mix the milk and cocoa powder until well combined. Pour this mixture over the cake after making some holes in it.
  3. Prepare the Brigadeiro:

    • In a pot over medium heat, melt the butter, then add the cocoa powder and sweetened condensed milk. Stir until the mixture thickens. Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate until cool.
    • Once cooled, shape the mixture into small balls and coat them with chocolate sprinkles. Set aside.
  4. Prepare the Topping:

    • In a pot, combine all topping ingredients and heat while stirring until you achieve a smooth mixture.
    • Pour this mixture over the cake and decorate the top with the brigadeiro balls.
