- 4 cups of white cabbage, washed and cut into small pieces
- 2 cups of red cabbage, washed and cut into small pieces
- 5 cups of strained chicken broth
- 2 tomatoes, peeled and cut into small pieces
- 2 green onions, cut into small pieces
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into small pieces
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon of ground cumin
How to Prepare Delicious Cabbage and Tomato Soup:
Sauté the Vegetables: In a pot over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Once heated, add the chopped green onions and red bell pepper. Sauté the vegetables gently until they soften and become fragrant.
Add Tomatoes and Cabbage: Next, add the tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, and both the red and white cabbage to the pot. Stir all the ingredients together. Sprinkle the salt over the vegetables and mix well. Let the vegetables sauté for about 7 minutes.
