Caramel Yogurt Dessert

First Layer:
  • 1½ cups of crushed biscuits
  • ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • ½ cup melted butter

Second Layer:

  • 1½ cups of yogurt
  • 2 cups of powdered milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla (or powdered vanilla if not available)
  • 2 tablespoons fine shredded coconut

Caramel Sauce:

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • ¼ cup of water
  • ½ cup of heavy cream

Garnish:

  • Chopped pistachios

Preparation:

  1. First Layer:

    • Mix the crushed biscuits with butter and cardamom in an oven-safe dish. Press the mixture firmly into the dish with your hands, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Second Layer:

    • In a blender, mix the yogurt, powdered milk, sugar, vanilla, and shredded coconut. Pour the mixture over the prepared biscuit layer and level it with a spatula.
    • Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F), place the dish in the middle rack, and bake for about 5 minutes until the yogurt mixture sets. Then refrigerate the dish for 3 hours.
  3. Caramel Sauce:

    • In a saucepan, boil the sugar with water over medium heat until it turns a light caramel color. Remove from heat and stir in the cream until fully combined.
  4. Serving:

    • Pour the caramel sauce over the yogurt layer, sprinkle with chopped pistachios, and refrigerate until cooled. Serve chilled.
