  • ½ teaspoon of grated nutmeg.
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  • A pinch of salt and black pepper to taste.
  • 1 Maggi cube.
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Preparation Method for Casa Pasta:

  1. Cook the pasta:

    • Boil the pasta in a pot of water with a tablespoon of salt and a little olive oil. Let it cook for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the tomato sauce:

    • In another pot, heat some oil and sauté the onion and garlic, stirring constantly.
    • Add the crushed tomatoes and stir. Then, add a cup of the pasta cooking water to thicken the tomato sauce, thanks to the pasta starch.
    • Once the sauce reaches the desired thickness, season it with black pepper, thyme, and salt. Set it aside.
  3. Cook the vegetables:

    • In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and add the vegetables, stirring them until they are slightly softened.
    • Add a cup of water and the Maggi cube, then cook over low heat until the vegetables are tender and the water evaporates.
    • Once done, season with salt and pepper.
  4. Prepare the béchamel sauce:

    • In a pot, melt a little butter, then add the flour and stir until it turns golden.
    • Gradually add the milk while whisking by hand until the mixture comes to a boil and thickens into a smooth béchamel sauce.
    • Season the béchamel with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. Combine the sauces:

    • Whisk the béchamel and tomato sauces together to create a light pink sauce.
    • Add the cooked pasta and vegetables to the sauce and stir until combined.
  6. Serve the Casa Pasta:

    • Pour the pasta mixture into a serving dish. You can layer it with mozzarella cheese and sprinkle more on top.
    • For an extra touch, you can bake it in the oven until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
