First, the Cheddar Popcorn:

Ingredients for Cheddar Popcorn:

  • 3 tablespoons of cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of ranch dressing (bottled or pre-made)
  • 1 teaspoon of dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon of melted butter
  • 3 cups of freshly popped popcorn

Steps to Prepare Cheddar Popcorn:

  1. In a large, deep bowl, mix together the cheddar cheese, dried parsley, ranch dressing, and melted butter.
  2. Once you've prepared the popcorn, make sure it’s hot, so the cheese melts and blends easily.
  3. Add the 3 cups of freshly popped, hot popcorn to the mixture and toss it thoroughly to coat the popcorn evenly.
  4. Once everything is well-mixed, the cheddar popcorn is ready to serve!

Now, the Caramel Popcorn:

Ingredients for Caramel Popcorn:

  • 1 cup of unpopped corn kernels
  • ¼ cup of vegetable oil (sunflower or corn oil works best)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water

Steps to Prepare Caramel Popcorn:

  1. In a pot over medium heat, add the unpopped corn kernels, sugar, vegetable oil, and water. Stir well until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Cover the pot and wait for the popcorn to start popping. This may take around 10 minutes for the kernels to pop and expand.
  3. Once the popcorn has finished popping and the mixture has thickened, turn off the heat and let the popcorn cool down slightly.
  4. Once cooled, the caramel popcorn is ready to serve.

Serving:

In two separate bowls, serve the cheddar popcorn in one and the caramel popcorn in the other. Place the bowls on the table alongside a hot cup of tea for a perfect snack experience.
