Ingredients for Chicken Pizza:
- 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce, divided
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 pepperoni slices, divided
How to Cook Chicken Pizza:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
Step 2: In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Place the flour in another bowl. In a third bowl, whisk the egg and lemon juice together.
Step 3: Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, then dredge it in the flour. Dip it back into the egg mixture and coat it in the breadcrumb mixture. Place the coated chicken breasts in a baking dish.
Step 4: Bake in the preheated oven until the chicken is heated through and the breadcrumbs are golden, about 20 minutes.
Step 5: Spoon 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce onto each chicken breast, sprinkle each with half of the mozzarella cheese, and top each with half of the pepperoni slices.
