Cow Hoof Soup – Recipe and Preparation

Ingredients for Cow Hoof Soup:
- 2 kilograms of cow hooves
- Boiling water (as needed)
- Drinking water (as needed)
- ¼ cup of fresh lemon juice
- 1 medium carrot, chopped
- 3 bay leaves
- 4 whole cardamom pods
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 medium tomato, cut into quarters
- 1 medium onion, cut into quarters
- 1 tablespoon of coriander
Preparation Method:
Clean the Cow Hooves: Thoroughly clean the cow hooves multiple times, then place them in a suitable pot over medium heat. Add boiling drinking water and lemon juice.
Boil: Allow the mixture to boil over medium heat for about five minutes.
Set Aside: Remove the hooves from the pot and set them aside.
Prepare the Broth: In another pot over medium heat, add drinking water along with black pepper, whole cardamom pods, bay leaves, the quartered tomato, quartered onion, chopped carrot, and coriander.
Combine: Let the mixture boil, then add the cow hooves. Keep the pot over medium heat.
Simmer: Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low, allowing the soup to simmer for about an hour and a half until the hooves are fully cooked.
Serve: Remove the pot from heat and pour this nutritious soup into a suitable serving dish. Serve it hot to family or guests to enjoy its delicious flavor.
