Fish spring rolls are a type of seafood appetizer that can be served alongside main dishes. Main Ingredients for Preparing Fish Spring Rolls:
- 1 pack of Chinese spring roll wrappers
- 400 grams of fish fillet
- 4 cloves of garlic, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger, minced
- 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon of dried coriander
- ½ teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup of cornstarch

- 2 tablespoons of lukewarm water

First, prepare the filling. Take a blender and add the fish, minced garlic, ginger, onion, salt, ground black pepper, dried coriander, cumin, egg, and cornstarch. Blend on medium speed for 60 seconds, just enough for all the ingredients to combine and form a crumbled mixture. Then, transfer the fish mixture into a large bowl and set it aside until needed.
Next, prepare the sealing mixture. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water using a fork.
Now, it’s time to make the spring rolls. Place a sheet of parchment paper on a dry surface, then put a piece of the spring roll wrapper on top. Using a wide brush, coat the wrapper with the sealing mixture. Place a teaspoon of the fish filling in the center of the wrapper, then roll it up into a spring roll shape. Repeat this process until you have used up all the remaining filling and wrappers.
After preparing the rolls, sprinkle a little flour over them to give them a crispy texture. Heat a thick-bottomed pan and fill it generously with sunflower oil. Let the oil heat over medium heat until it is fully hot.
Finally, fry the spring rolls in batches, turning them frequently to prevent burning. Once they turn a light golden color, remove them from the oil and place them on parchment paper to absorb any excess oil.
Arrange the rolls on a serving dish and serve them immediately.
