  • Arabic bread, cut into triangles (quantity as desired).
  • 300 grams of minced meat.
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground cumin and cinnamon.
  • 100 grams of lamb fat.
  • ¼ tablespoon of mixed spices and black pepper.
  • 4 teaspoons of corn oil.
  • 1 tablespoon of salt.
  • 3 green bell peppers, finely chopped.
  • 3 onions, finely chopped.
  • 1 hot chili pepper, finely chopped.

For garnish:

  • 2 green bell peppers, sliced into rings.
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced into rounds.

Preparation Method for Hawawshi with Sausage:

  1. Melt the Lamb Fat:

    • In a pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the lamb fat and sauté it, stirring well until it completely melts. Set it aside for later use.
  2. Prepare the Meat Mixture:

    • In a bowl, combine the minced meat, hot chili, green bell peppers, and the chopped onions.
    • Season the mixture with ground cinnamon, salt, mixed spices, cumin, and black pepper. Mix everything together thoroughly.
  3. Stuff the Bread:

    • Fill each triangle of bread with about 4 teaspoons of the meat mixture. Top with a slice of tomato and a ring of green bell pepper.
  4. Bake the Hawawshi:

    • Place the stuffed bread triangles on a baking tray and brush them with the melted lamb fat and a little oil.
    • Brush the top of the bread with a mixture of oil and fat, then place the tray in a preheated oven at 220°C (430°F).
    • Bake until the bread is fully cooked and golden brown, flipping the bread occasionally to ensure it is evenly cooked on all sides.
  5. Serve:

    • Once fully baked and golden, remove the tray from the oven. The Hawawshi with Sausage is now ready to be served.
