This cake is perfect for breakfast alongside a cup of coffee, and children especially enjoy it because it is plain and doesn’t contain many ingredients. It’s easy to prepare and doesn’t require much time or effort.

Main Ingredients for Hot Milk Cake:

Hot Milk Cake

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • ¾ cup of milk
  • ¼ cup of butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (or vanilla powder if not available)

For Serving:

  • A moderate amount of powdered sugar

Preparation Method:

  1. Prepare the Cake Pan: Grease a rectangular or loaf pan with parchment paper on all sides to prevent sticking. Set it aside until needed.

  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large, deep bowl, sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir to combine and set aside.

  3. Heat the Milk and Butter: In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter over medium heat until the butter melts and the milk is hot, but not boiling. Once hot, remove from the heat.

  4. Beat the Eggs and Sugar: In a large, deep bowl, beat the eggs using an electric whisk. Gradually add the sugar while whisking until the mixture turns light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and continue whisking for a few minutes.

  5. Combine the Ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, whisking continuously with each addition. Finally, pour in the hot milk and butter mixture and whisk for another two minutes until all ingredients are well combined and a smooth batter forms.

  6. Bake the Cake: Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F), place the pan on the middle rack, and bake for 35 minutes until the cake is fully cooked and turns light golden.

  7. Cool and Serve: Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before turning it out of the pan. Allow it to cool completely, then slice and arrange on individual serving plates.

And that's how you prepare the delicious Hot Milk Cake. We hope you enjoy this delightful recipe!
