How to Prepare Iraqi Biryani
Cook the Chicken: Boil the chicken thighs until the meat separates from the bone, then set aside the chicken broth.
Fry the Ingredients: In a small amount of oil, fry the chopped onions until golden, then set aside. Fry the potatoes, peas, almonds, raisins, and beef separately, setting each aside as they are cooked.
Prepare the Rice: Rinse the rice well and soak it for 15 minutes.
Fry the Vermicelli: In a pot over heat, fry the vermicelli until golden brown. Then, add the rice, turmeric, black pepper, biryani spices, mixed spices, and salt.
Combine Ingredients: Add the fried potatoes, peas, onions, chicken, and beef to the pot with the rice mixture. Stir gently to mix all the ingredients together.
Add the Broth: Pour the chicken broth over the mixture, ensuring it covers the rice. If the broth isn't enough, add water as needed. Let the mixture cook until the rice is fully cooked.
