  • ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For the Sauce:

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spices
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • A sprinkle of parsley for garnish

Preparation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Sauce: Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, stirring for about a minute until the flavors meld together.

  2. Add Vegetables and Seasoning: Add the chopped tomatoes, bell pepper, spices, black pepper, oregano, salt, and tomato paste. Stir to combine, then add a cup of water. Let the sauce simmer for five minutes before turning off the heat. Your sauce is now ready.
