Lemon Tart with Honey – Recipe and Preparation Method
Lemon tart with honey is a luxurious dessert that can be served at friend gatherings and family evenings. It is known for its delightful taste and contains a variety of vitamins and high calories, providing energy throughout the day.
This tart is easy to prepare and requires only 30 minutes to get ready, serving up to eight people.

Dough Ingredients:
- 1¾ cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- ¾ cup of butter, cut into small cubes at room temperature
- ½ cup of honey
Filling Ingredients:
- 1 large lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon of grated lemon zest
- 1 cup of honey
- 3 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- ¼ cup of flour
- 2 teaspoons of cornstarch
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- ½ cup of fresh lemon juice
Preparation Method:
Preparing the Dough: In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, cornstarch, and salt, mixing them well with a wide plastic spoon to combine all the ingredients. Set aside.
In a mixer bowl, add the butter and honey, and beat on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the flour mixture to the mixer, blending on low speed for 3 minutes until all ingredients are combined into a soft dough. Remove the dough from the mixer and spread it evenly in a tart pan.
Preparing the Filling: In a small bowl, mix the honey and grated lemon zest, then add the lemon slices and stir. Let the mixture sit for 30-45 minutes until the lemon slices become soft and tender. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F) and place the tart shell on the middle rack, baking it for 30-35 minutes until it turns light golden.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and egg yolks using a hand whisk for 4 minutes. Add the flour, salt, and cornstarch, whisking for another 3 minutes. Slowly add the fresh lemon juice while continuing to whisk until well combined, then fold in the softened lemon slices with a wide plastic spoon to create the filling.
Remove the tart shell from the oven and pour in the filling, spreading it evenly. Return the tart to the oven and bake for another 30-35 minutes until the filling is set.
Finally, remove the tart from the oven and let it cool slightly before placing it in the fridge for 4 hours before serving.
