Lobster – Ingredients and Preparation Method
Lobster is a type of marine creature that lives in seas or saltwater and is rarely found in lakes or freshwater. It is also known as shrimp or crab and is highly valued for its delicious taste, although it is quite expensive.
Lobster can be prepared in various ways, such as grilling, frying, or boiling, and can also be added to other dishes. It is rich in nutrients like protein, vitamins, and essential minerals for the human body.

Ingredients for Lobster:
- 2 fresh medium-sized lobsters, weighing around 70 grams each.
- 2 teaspoons of finely minced or crushed garlic.
- 1 small onion, finely grated or sliced into thin strips.
- 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- ½ teaspoon of cumin and mixed spices.
- ¼ teaspoon each of black pepper and dried coriander.
- 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of ground ginger.
- A small amount of green chili, finely sliced.
Preparation Method for Lobster:
There are two ways to cook lobster: grilling in the oven or frying in oil.
Grilling Method:
- Use a sharp fish scissors to cut through the top shell of the lobster.
- Marinate the lobster by placing it in a large bowl and adding garlic, onion, cumin, mixed spices, lemon juice, coriander, ground ginger, salt, black pepper, and green chili. Let it marinate for at least two hours.
- Preheat the oven, then place the marinated lobster on a baking tray and bake for 30 minutes.
- Once done, remove the tray from the oven, transfer the grilled lobster to a serving plate, and garnish with slices of chili and onion. Serve hot.
Frying Method:
- Press the cartilage in the lobster's belly to extract the meat, removing the shell.
- Cut the lobster meat into medium-sized slices.
- Marinate the lobster slices using the same spice mixture from the grilling method.
- Lightly coat the lobster pieces in flour before frying.
- Heat oil in a pan and begin frying the lobster pieces. The frying process takes about 3 minutes.
- Prepare a side salad of arugula, red radish, and tahini to serve alongside the fried lobster.
