- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon crushed chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh basil
- 1 teaspoon dried mint
Preparation Method:
Prepare the Kibbeh Dough:
- In a large bowl, mix the minced meat with chopped onion, soaked bulgur, kibbeh spices, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with your fingers until a cohesive kibbeh dough forms.
Shape and Stuff the Kibbeh:
- Form small balls of kibbeh, about the size of a walnut. Create a small indentation in the center of each ball and place a teaspoon of the filling inside. Close the kibbeh with your fingers to form a small ball. Repeat until all the filling and kibbeh dough are used up.

Prepare the Tomato Sauce:
- In a bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, broth, salt, crushed chili flakes, chopped basil, and dried mint. Mix well with a spatula until you have a smooth tomato sauce.
Bake the Dish:
- Pour the prepared tomato sauce evenly over the wrapped kibbeh. Cover the dish with aluminum foil. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F), place the dish on the middle rack, and bake for 40 minutes until the kibbeh is cooked through and the sauce blends with the eggplant.
