Musakhan Pasta – Recipe and Preparation Method

Ingredients for Musakhan Pasta:
- 500 grams of pasta.
- ¼ cup of toasted pine nuts.
Chicken Mixture Ingredients:
- 500 grams of chicken breast (boneless and skinless).
- ¼ cup of olive oil.
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced.
- ¼ cup of lemon juice.
- 3 tablespoons of sumac.
- Salt to taste.
- Black pepper to taste.
Pasta Sauce Ingredients:
- 1 can of cream.
- 1 cup of liquid cream.
- 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced.
- 50 grams of butter.
- 1 tablespoon of sumac.
- ½ cup of mozzarella cheese.
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste.
- Salt to taste.
- Black pepper to taste.
Preparation Method:
Cooking the Pasta:
- Boil the pasta in salted water according to the instructions on the package.
- Drain the pasta and set it aside.
Preparing the Chicken Mixture:
- Cut the chicken breast into thin strips.
- Heat olive oil in a suitable pan over medium heat, then add half of the sliced onion, chicken strips, a bit of black pepper, and salt. Stir occasionally until the chicken begins to cook.
- Add the sumac, lemon juice, and the remaining onions, stirring occasionally until the onions soften.
- Remove the pan from the heat and set it aside.
Preparing the Pasta Sauce:
- Melt the butter in a suitable pan over medium heat, then add the minced garlic and stir for about a minute.
- Add the cream, liquid cream, and tomato paste, stirring occasionally until the mixture boils and thickens.
- Add sumac, black pepper, salt, and shredded mozzarella cheese, stirring until well combined.
Final Assembly:
- Place the pasta in a serving dish and pour the sauce mixture over it.
- Top with the chicken mixture and garnish with parsley and toasted pine nuts.
