Pizza Rolls – Recipe and Preparation Method
Pizza rolls are a delicious dish that can be served for breakfast alongside a cup of hot tea or at family gatherings and friend get-togethers. They are known for their wonderful taste and eye-catching appearance, as well as their high-calorie content, providing energy throughout the day.
These rolls are easy to prepare and take only 20 minutes to make, serving 12 people.
Ingredients for Pizza Rolls:
Dough Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons powdered milk
- 1/4 cup sunflower oil
- 1 cup warm water
Filling Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup ready-made pizza sauce
- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 cup finely chopped mushrooms
- 1 cup sliced black olives
Preparation Method:
Prepare the Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, combine 2.5 cups of all-purpose flour with instant yeast, baking powder, and salt. Mix on medium speed for about 30 seconds until combined.
- Add the oil and warm water, mixing on low speed for about 7 minutes until a soft and smooth dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add the remaining flour until it reaches the desired consistency.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it tightly with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes until it doubles in size.
Prepare the Baking Pan:
- Grease a round baking pan on all sides and set it aside.
Roll Out the Dough:
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the surface, leaving some space at the edges.
- Sprinkle grated mozzarella, cheddar cheese, chopped mushrooms, and black olives over the sauce.
- Roll the dough tightly to form a long log.
Cut the Rolls:
- Slice the log into 12 equal pieces using a sharp knife and arrange them in the prepared baking pan.
- Cover the pan with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and place the pan on the middle rack. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and cover with a dry towel for 10 minutes, then transfer the rolls to a serving plate.
These delicious pizza rolls are now ready to be served hot!
