Pizza Rolls – Recipe and Preparation Method

Pizza rolls are a delicious dish that can be served for breakfast alongside a cup of hot tea or at family gatherings and friend get-togethers. They are known for their wonderful taste and eye-catching appearance, as well as their high-calorie content, providing energy throughout the day.

These rolls are easy to prepare and take only 20 minutes to make, serving 12 people.

Dough Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons powdered milk
  • 1/4 cup sunflower oil
  • 1 cup warm water

Filling Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup ready-made pizza sauce
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup finely chopped mushrooms
  • 1 cup sliced black olives

Preparation Method:

  1. Prepare the Dough:

    • In a mixing bowl, combine 2.5 cups of all-purpose flour with instant yeast, baking powder, and salt. Mix on medium speed for about 30 seconds until combined.
    • Add the oil and warm water, mixing on low speed for about 7 minutes until a soft and smooth dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add the remaining flour until it reaches the desired consistency.
    • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it tightly with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes until it doubles in size.
  2. Prepare the Baking Pan:

    • Grease a round baking pan on all sides and set it aside.
  3. Roll Out the Dough:

    • On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the surface, leaving some space at the edges.
    • Sprinkle grated mozzarella, cheddar cheese, chopped mushrooms, and black olives over the sauce.
    • Roll the dough tightly to form a long log.
  4. Cut the Rolls:

    • Slice the log into 12 equal pieces using a sharp knife and arrange them in the prepared baking pan.
    • Cover the pan with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
  5. Bake:

    • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and place the pan on the middle rack. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
    • Remove from the oven and cover with a dry towel for 10 minutes, then transfer the rolls to a serving plate.

These delicious pizza rolls are now ready to be served hot!
