Ingredients:
- ½ cup grated carrots
- 12 medium-sized carrots
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup water
- 1½ teaspoons salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¾ teaspoon cumin
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
How to Prepare Sautéed Carrots:
Prepare the Carrots: Peel and wash the carrots thoroughly, then slice them into round, medium-sized pieces. Place the slices in a dish.
Heat the Oil and Butter: Heat olive oil in a suitable pot over medium heat, then add the butter and let it melt.
Sauté the Carrots: Add the sliced carrots to the pot, then season with cumin, black pepper, and salt. Stir the carrots gently over low heat to combine the spices, butter, and oil.
Cook with Water: Add ½ cup of water to the pot, stir slightly, then cover and let it simmer over low heat until the carrots are tender but not overly soft.
Add Honey and Lemon Juice: Stir in the honey according to your taste preference (you may skip this step if desired, but it adds a unique flavor). Next, add the freshly squeezed lemon juice, stirring gently to enhance the dish's aroma.
Finish Cooking: Once the carrots have absorbed the flavors, turn off the heat. Transfer the sautéed carrots to a serving dish.
Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh look. You can also add a sprinkle of toasted walnuts or almonds for added texture and flavor, if desired.
Your sautéed carrots are now ready to serve—delicious, unique, and perfect for any meal. Enjoy!
