  • 2 medium-sized eggs
  • 3 tablespoons powdered milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • A pinch of salt

  • 1 tablespoon vinegar

For the Topping:

  • 1 tablespoon powdered milk
  • A pinch of instant coffee (nescafe)
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water

Preparation Steps:

  1. Activate the Yeast: Dissolve the yeast in a small amount of warm milk and mix it with some sugar. Let it sit for a few minutes.

  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: Add the flour to a large bowl or mixer, then add the salt, baking powder, and powdered milk. Mix the ingredients until well combined.

  3. Add the Fat: Add oil, butter, or ghee to the flour mixture, mixing well.

  4. Prepare the Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with vanilla, vinegar, the remaining milk, and sugar until well blended.

  5. Combine the Ingredients: Add the wet mixture to the flour mix in the mixer, along with the prepared yeast mixture and yogurt. Mix until a dough forms.

  6. Let the Dough Rise: Place the dough in a bowl, cover, and let it rise for about an hour.

  7. Shape the Rolls: Divide the dough into small pieces and shape each into three long strips. Braid the strips together, creating the desired shapes.

  8. Prepare the Baking Tray: Lightly grease a baking tray with a bit of oil, then place the shaped rolls on it.

  9. Second Rise: Allow the rolls to rise again on the tray for about an hour until they double in size.

  10. Prepare the Topping Mixture: In a small bowl, mix the powdered milk, instant coffee, water, and sugar. Brush this mixture over the top of each roll.

  11. Bake: Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Bake the rolls on the lower rack until they turn golden. Then, switch the oven to 160°C (320°F) and brown the tops until golden.
