  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 green chili pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of grated ginger
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • ½ cup of yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon of curry powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

How to Prepare Spicy Chicken Kofta with Curry:

  1. Prepare the Kofta:

    • Attach the small-hole disk to a meat grinder and place a large bowl underneath. Mince the chicken fillets using the grinder.
    • Once all the chicken is minced, add the grated potato, chopped toast, onion, garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, curry powder, salt, chopped green chili, paprika, and crushed chili flakes. Mix the ingredients together well by hand, kneading for a few minutes until a smooth kofta mixture forms.
    • Shape the mixture into small, walnut-sized balls and set them aside.
  2. Cook the Kofta:

    • Heat the sunflower oil in a large, thick-bottomed skillet over medium heat until hot. Add the kofta balls and cook, turning them frequently with a wide plastic spatula, until they are fully cooked and golden. Remove the kofta balls from the skillet and set them aside.
  3. Prepare the Curry:

    • In the same skillet, add the finely chopped onion and sauté over low heat until it becomes soft and golden.
    • Add the minced garlic, chopped green chili, and grated ginger, stirring for a few minutes.
    • Add the chopped green and red bell peppers, and sauté for an additional 2 minutes until the peppers soften slightly.
    • Stir in the yogurt, tomato paste, coconut milk, curry powder, black pepper, and salt. Continue stirring until the sauce begins to boil, then reduce the heat to medium and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Finish the Dish:

    • Return the kofta balls to the skillet and allow them to simmer in the curry sauce over low heat for about 15 minutes until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld. Cover the skillet with a lid to ensure even cooking.
  5. Serve:

    • Serve the spicy chicken kofta with curry hot, garnished with your favorite steamed vegetables or alongside a side of rice if desired.

Enjoy this hearty and flavorful dish, perfect for warming up on a cold day! We hope you love this delicious recipe.
