Ingredients for Stuffed Vegetable Wrapped Steak:
- 500 grams of steak
- 2 medium-sized onions, peeled and sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 1 medium-sized red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium-sized green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium-sized yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup broth
Preparation Method:
Season the Steak:
- Place the steak in a large, deep dish. Sprinkle with a little salt and black pepper, rubbing the seasonings into the steak for a few minutes to infuse the flavors. Set aside until ready to use.
Sauté the Vegetables:
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large, thick-bottomed skillet over medium heat until the butter is fully melted and the oil is hot. Add the onions and stir with a wooden spoon for a few minutes until they turn light golden. Add the minced garlic and stir until its aroma fills the kitchen.
- Add the red, green, and yellow bell peppers, mushrooms, remaining salt, and black pepper, and sauté for just 60 seconds to keep the vegetables slightly crisp.
Stuff and Roll the Steak:
- Lay the first piece of steak on a flat surface and place a suitable amount of the vegetable mixture inside. Roll it up tightly and secure it with toothpicks to keep the roll intact. Repeat the process with the remaining steak and vegetable mixture.
Brown the Steak Rolls:
- In the same skillet used for the vegetables, add a little more oil if needed, and sear the steak rolls, turning them after a few minutes to brown all sides evenly.
Prepare the Sauce:
- Remove the steak rolls from the skillet. Add the flour to the skillet and stir for a few seconds until it turns light golden. Add the broth, vinegar, salt, and black pepper, whisking with a hand whisk until the sauce thickens and becomes smooth.
Simmer the Steak Rolls in Sauce:
- Return the steak rolls to the skillet, allowing them to simmer in the sauce for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Serve:
- Transfer the vegetable-stuffed steak rolls to a serving plate, pouring the sauce over them. Serve hot, with an optional side of rice.
Enjoy this delicious and nutritious Stuffed Vegetable Wrapped Steak, hoping it delights everyone at your table!
