Ingredients for Sunflower Sweets:
For the first layer:
- 1½ packs of tea biscuits.
- 1 stick of butter at room temperature.
For the second layer:
- 2 containers of plain yogurt.
- 1 cup of powdered milk.
- ½ cup of regular sugar.
For the third layer:
- 1 pack of Oreo biscuits.
- 2 cups of water.
- 2 packets of crème caramel.
- ½ teaspoon of instant coffee (Nescafé).
Preparation Method for Sunflower Sweets:
Prepare the first layer:
- Grind the tea biscuits in a food processor until they become very fine, like powder.
- Place the ground biscuits in a large bowl and add the softened butter. Mix them well together.
- Prepare cupcake molds and press the biscuit mixture firmly into the bottom to form a compact base. Then, place the molds in the fridge to set.
Prepare the second layer:
- In a food processor, whisk the yogurt and powdered milk well. Then, add the sugar and continue whisking until a creamy, liquid consistency is achieved.
- Pour the second layer mixture over the biscuit layer, filling two-thirds of the cupcake molds.
- Preheat the oven and place the cupcake molds in a baking tray. Bake them for about 5 minutes or until the second layer sets.
Prepare the third layer:
- Separate the Oreo biscuits, removing the cream filling. Place an Oreo half (or a whole Oreo, if you prefer) on top of each cupcake while still hot.
- To prepare the third layer, bring water to a boil in a pot, then add the crème caramel mix, stirring continuously to prevent clumping.
- Add the Nescafé and keep stirring until all ingredients are well combined.
- Turn off the heat and let the third layer mixture cool slightly, without allowing it to set completely.
Assemble the layers:
- Pour the third layer mixture over the cupcake molds and place them in the fridge to allow all the layers to set properly.
Serving:
- You can serve Sunflower Sweets by removing the cupcake liners or keeping them on, depending on your preference, to resemble a sunflower.
