- 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1.5 cups buttermilk
Filling Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 cups tuna, drained
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
Preparation Method:
Make the Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Mix on medium speed for about 60 seconds until well combined.
- Add olive oil, eggs, and buttermilk. Mix on low speed for about 3 minutes until you have a smooth, homogeneous dough.
- Remove the dough from the bowl, place it in a greased dish, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest in a warm place for 15 minutes to rise.
Prepare the Filling:
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, chopped green onions, tuna, salt, black pepper, and green chili. Mix well using a large spoon until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Shape the Samosas:
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface using a rolling pin. Cut out circles using a round cookie cutter.
- Place a tablespoon of filling in the center of each circle, fold it over to form a half-moon shape, and press the edges with a fork to seal.
Fry the Samosas:
- In a deep, wide pan, heat a generous amount of sunflower oil over medium heat until hot.
- Carefully add the samosas to the oil, frying them until they are golden brown on both sides.
Drain and Serve:
- Remove the tuna samosas from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Arrange them on a serving plate and serve hot.
