- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.
- 1 teaspoon of salt.
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil.
- 2 medium-sized tomatoes, finely chopped.
- 1 lemon, zested (using the lemon peel only).
- 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped.
- Shredded mozzarella cheese (as needed).
- Olive oil (for brushing).
How to Prepare Arais Lahmeh:
Prepare the Bread:
Cut the bread into triangles.Prepare the Meat Filling:
In a suitable mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, chopped tomatoes, green bell pepper, lemon zest, and olive oil.Add the coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until well combined.
Stuff the Bread:
Spread an even layer of the meat mixture inside each bread triangle.Add Cheese:
Sprinkle some shredded mozzarella cheese inside each stuffed bread triangle. Brush both sides of the bread with a little olive oil.Grill the Bread:
Place the stuffed bread triangles on a hot grill or sandwich press. Cook until both sides are golden brown and crispy.Serve:
Once golden and crispy on both sides, remove from the grill and place on a serving plate. Repeat the process until all the bread triangles are cooked.
