This recipe is easy to prepare, takes only 15 minutes, and serves eight people. The ingredients are simple and affordable.

For the Dough:
- 2¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1½ teaspoons liquid vanilla extract
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1¼ cups powdered sugar

- Granulated sugar
- Raisins
How to Prepare Butter Cookies:
Prepare the Dry Ingredients: In a deep bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking powder. Use a hand whisk to mix the ingredients thoroughly until they are well combined.
Mix Butter and Sugar: In a mixer, add the melted butter and powdered sugar. Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes until well incorporated. Then, add one egg and continue mixing, followed by the second egg. After that, add the vanilla extract and mix again.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing on low speed until a soft and smooth dough forms.
Shape the Cookies: Remove the dough from the mixer and begin working with it immediately. Take a small portion of the dough, about the size of an almond, and roll it into a ball. Gently press down with your finger to form a flat cookie. Place two or three raisins on top and arrange the cookies on a baking tray. Repeat the process, making another small ball of dough, pressing it flat, and sprinkling a little granulated sugar on top instead of raisins.
Prepare for Baking: Continue shaping the cookies in the same manner until all the dough is used. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F), and place the baking tray in the middle rack of the oven.
Bake the Cookies: Bake the cookies for 10-13 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning. Once they turn a light golden color, remove them from the oven. Allow the cookies to cool slightly on the tray before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Store and Serve: Once the cookies have fully cooled, place them in a metal tin or airtight container. The cookies are now ready to serve when needed.
