Chicken Parmesan – How to Prepare Chicken Parmesan
Chicken Parmesan is a delicious dish known for its rich flavor and high nutritional value. It’s easy to prepare, taking only 20 minutes to prepare and another 20 minutes to cook. In this article, we will provide the ingredients for two people along with the preparation method, hoping you enjoy this special meal.
Ingredients for Chicken Parmesan:
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced thinly
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- Salt to taste
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of liquid milk
- 2 cups of breadcrumbs
- 1 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons of chopped parsley
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 cups of red pasta sauce
- 200 grams of fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 200 grams of mozzarella cheese, sliced
How to Prepare Chicken Parmesan:
Prepare the Egg Mixture:
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together until well combined, then set aside.
Prepare the Breadcrumb Mixture:
- In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley, then set aside.
Flatten the Chicken:
- Place each chicken slice between two pieces of plastic wrap and gently pound them using a meat mallet until thin.
Coat the Chicken:
- Dredge each chicken slice in flour, then dip it in the egg mixture, followed by coating it in the breadcrumb mixture.
Fry the Chicken:
- Heat the butter in a pan over medium heat until it melts, then add the olive oil. Fry the breaded chicken slices until golden brown on both sides and fully cooked.
Assemble the Dish:
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of red pasta sauce. Place the sliced mushrooms on top of the sauce, then layer the fried chicken slices. Place two slices of mozzarella cheese on top of each chicken slice.
Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Once preheated, place the dish in the oven and bake for 20 minutes until the cheese melts and the dish is fully cooked.
Serve:
- Remove the dish from the oven and transfer the Chicken Parmesan to a serving plate.
