- 1 kilogram of steak, cut into thin strips.
- 3 tablespoons of cornstarch.
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
For the Sauce:
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- 3 cloves of minced garlic.
- ¼ teaspoon of grated ginger.
- ½ cup of water.
- ⅓ cup of soy sauce.
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
- 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar.
- ⅓ cup of Worcestershire sauce.
- ½ teaspoon of crushed red pepper.
For the Vegetables:
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into long slices.
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into long slices.
- 1 medium-sized onion, sliced.
- 1 cup of chopped green onions.
Preparation Method for Chinese Beef:
Preparing the Sauce:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a suitable pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute.
- Add the grated ginger and stir for about 30 seconds.
- Pour in the water, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir all the ingredients together until well combined.
- Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens. Then, remove the pan from heat and set it aside.
Preparing the Beef:
- Place the beef strips in a bowl and coat them with cornstarch. Let them sit for about 15 minutes.
