Ingredients for Chinese Chicken:
- 500 grams of chicken breast, cut into cubes.
- 1 medium-sized onion, cut into large cubes.
- ½ green bell pepper, cut into cubes.
- ½ red bell pepper, cut into cubes.
- ½ yellow bell pepper, cut into cubes.
- 1 cup of roasted cashews.
- ¼ cup of soy sauce.
- 2 tablespoons of sesame oil.
- Black pepper to taste.
- 1 teaspoon of white flour.
- Salt to taste.
Method of Preparation:
Step 1: Cooking the Vegetables
Heat half of the sesame oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion cubes and the green, red, and yellow bell peppers. Stir them occasionally, making sure they remain crunchy.
Once the vegetables are cooked but still crispy, remove them from the pan and set them aside.
Step 2: Cooking the Chicken
In the same pan, add the remaining sesame oil. Add the chicken cubes, season with salt and black pepper, and stir until the chicken is fully cooked and browned on all sides.
Step 3: Combining the Ingredients
Return the cooked vegetables to the pan with the chicken. Add the roasted cashews and stir the mixture together.
Step 4: Making the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix the flour with the soy sauce until the flour is completely dissolved. Pour this mixture over the chicken and vegetables in the pan.
Stir everything together well to combine, and let the mixture cook for an additional 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
