Ingredients for Chinese Shrimp:
- 500 grams of peeled shrimp.
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce.
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch.
Ingredients for the Sauce:
- ⅓ cup of soy sauce.
- 4 tablespoons of rice vinegar.
- ¼ cup of pineapple juice.
- 4 tablespoons of brown sugar.
- 1 teaspoon of ginger.
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
- 2 tablespoons of oil.
- 1 medium onion, sliced thinly.
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced thinly.
Method of Preparation:
Step 1: Marinating the Shrimp
In a bowl, mix the shrimp with soy sauce and cornstarch until they are well combined. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
Step 2: Preparing the Sauce
In a separate bowl, gradually mix the cornstarch with soy sauce while stirring continuously.
Add the pineapple juice, rice vinegar, ginger, brown sugar, and garlic powder to the mixture. Stir until all the ingredients are well combined and set the sauce aside.
Step 3: Cooking the Shrimp
