  • 3 eggs, using only the egg whites.
  • ¾ cup of powdered sugar.
  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder.
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • ½ teaspoon of cornstarch.
  • ½ teaspoon of vinegar.
  • 1 cup of unsweetened whipping cream (for topping).
  • 1 cup of chopped strawberries (soaked in a small amount of powdered sugar for at least 60 minutes).

How to Prepare Chocolate and Strawberry Pavlova:

  1. Place the egg whites in an electric mixer and whisk them well until the mixture becomes glossy and firm.
  2. Gradually and gently add the powdered sugar while continuing to whisk.
  3. Add the vanilla extract, cocoa powder, vinegar, and cornstarch, and continue whisking until the mixture is well combined.
  4. Using a large spoon, shape small portions of the pavlova mixture into small mounds and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, making sure to leave spaces between each one.
  5. Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F), and once it's ready, place the tray in the oven and bake for about 45-60 minutes.
  6. Once the pavlova is baked, remove the tray from the oven and let the meringues cool down to room temperature.
  7. Decorate the pavlova with whipped cream and the soaked strawberries.
