Cinnamon and sugar cake is distinguished by its delicious taste and the high nutritional value of its ingredients. It’s also easy to prepare, requiring no more than 20 minutes for preparation and 35 minutes for baking. Ingredients for Cinnamon and Sugar Cake:
- 2 cups of white flour.
- 3/4 cup of white sugar.
- 2 tablespoons of white sugar (for topping).
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder.
- 1/2 teaspoon of table salt.
- 1/2 cup of butter (at room temperature).
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
- 1 egg (whisked).
- 3/4 cup of liquid milk.
- 2 tablespoons of melted butter (for topping).
How to Prepare Cinnamon and Sugar Cake:
Grease a cake pan with melted butter and sprinkle a small amount of flour over it.
In a suitable bowl, mix the white flour, 3/4 cup of white sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir until all the ingredients are well combined.
Add 1/2 cup of butter to the dry ingredients and mix using an electric mixer until the mixture resembles crumbs.
Set aside 1/2 cup of this crumb mixture, then add cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of sugar to it. This will be used for the topping.
Add the liquid milk and the whisked egg to the remaining mixture in the electric mixer, blending again until well combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
Drizzle the melted butter over the surface of the cake mixture.
