  • 3.5 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons of white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of instant yeast
  • 1¼ cups of warm milk (you may increase the amount slightly if needed)
  • 1 cup of melted butter

For the Topping:

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon

How to Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Bread:

  1. In a suitable bowl, mix ½ cup of warm milk with yeast and sugar. Stir well until the ingredients are combined, then set the bowl aside for 10 minutes to allow the yeast to activate.

  2. In a deep bowl, combine the flour, salt, the yeast-milk mixture, and the remaining milk. Knead the ingredients together until you get a soft and smooth dough (if needed, add extra milk to adjust the consistency).

  3. Divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Cover the dough and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

  4. Dip the dough balls into the melted butter, shape them into rolls, and place them next to each other in a suitable baking tray.

  5. Cover the tray and let the dough rest again for another 30 minutes.

  6. In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon with brown sugar until well combined.

  7. Brush the surface of the dough with the beaten egg, then sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar mixture evenly over the top.

  8. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F). Once heated, bake the tray in the oven for approximately 15 minutes, or until the bread is golden and fully cooked.
