  • 1 bunch of dill (washed and finely chopped)
  • 1 bunch of fresh cilantro (washed and finely chopped)
  • 4 medium-sized onions, finely chopped
  • 4 medium-sized tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • ½ cup of liquid milk
  • Salt (to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of cumin
  • ½ teaspoon of chili powder
  • 2 medium-sized green bell peppers, diced into small cubes
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

How to Prepare Egyptian Omelette:

  1. Prepare the egg mixture:
Crack the eggs into a large, deep bowl and whisk them well. Add the flour, milk, baking powder, salt, cumin, black pepper, and chili powder. Mix all the ingredients until they are well combined.

  2. Cook the vegetables:
Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and diced green peppers, stirring occasionally until the onions are soft. Remove from heat.

  3. Combine the ingredients:
Add the chopped tomatoes, parsley, dill, and cilantro to the cooked onions and peppers, and stir everything together until well mixed. Then, pour in the egg mixture and stir until all the ingredients are evenly combined.

  4. Bake the omelette:
Lightly grease a baking dish (such as a Pyrex dish) with oil and pour the egg and vegetable mixture into it.

  5. Cook in the oven:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Once heated, place the baking dish in the oven and let the mixture bake for about 30 minutes until fully cooked.

  6. Broil for a golden top:
Once baked, turn on the broiler for a few minutes to brown the top of the omelette slightly.

  7. Serve:
Remove the dish from the oven, and the Egyptian Omelette is ready to serve! Present it to your family or guests, and enjoy its delicious taste and health benefits.
