  • ½ medium head of lettuce
  • 1 medium red bell pepper
  • 1 medium green bell pepper
  • 1 medium yellow bell pepper
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 4 medium radishes
  • 4 medium tomatoes
  • 2 medium cucumbers
  • ½ bunch of parsley
  • 10 basil leaves
  • ½ cup of black and green olives, sliced
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 3 pieces of fried bread, cut into equal squares

Dressing Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons of vinegar
  • 3 cloves of garlic, finely minced
  • ½ cup of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 ½ tablespoons of sumac
  • 3 tablespoons of pomegranate molasses

How to Prepare Fattoush Salad with Cabbage:

Step 1:
Start by preparing a wide serving dish and set it aside. Slice the cabbage into thin strips using a food processor or a knife. After finishing all the cabbage, place it in the serving dish. Then, slice the lettuce into thin strips and add it to the cabbage.

Step 2:
Cut the bell peppers into quarters, then slice each quarter into thin, equal strips. Add the sliced peppers to the serving dish.

Step 3:
Wash the carrots thoroughly, peel them, and then grate them. Slice the radishes into thin circles. Add both the grated carrots and sliced radishes to the salad.

Step 4:
Cut the cucumbers lengthwise into halves, then slice them into thin, equal-sized pieces. Add them to the salad along with the diced tomatoes.

Step 5:
Separate the parsley leaves from their stems, wash them thoroughly several times to ensure they are clean, and add them to the salad. Do the same with the basil leaves, chopping them slightly if needed, and add them to the dish.

Step 6:
Distribute the sliced olives and chopped green onions evenly over the salad.

Step 7 – Prepare the Dressing:
In a separate bowl, combine the lemon juice, vinegar, garlic, olive oil, salt, sumac, and pomegranate molasses. Mix well until all the ingredients are blended.

Step 8:
Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients and mix them well to ensure that all the vegetables are coated with the dressing.

Step 9:
Finally, sprinkle the fried bread squares on top of the salad. Optionally, garnish with extra parsley leaves for decoration. Place the salad in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes before serving.

Your Fattoush Salad with Cabbage is now ready to be served! Enjoy this refreshing and nutritious dish with your family or guests.
