- 1 teaspoon of finely minced fresh ginger
- 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped

- ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon of ground coriander
- ½ teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup of white cornstarch
Ingredients for the Sealing Mixture:
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons of water
How to Prepare Fish Spring Rolls:
Step 1:
Start by placing the fish fillet, minced garlic, minced ginger, chopped onion, salt, black pepper, coriander, cumin, and cornstarch into a blender. Blend on medium speed for about 30 seconds until all the ingredients are well combined and form a smooth mixture.
Step 2:
Transfer the fish mixture to a plate.
Step 3:
Prepare the sealing mixture by whisking the egg and water together in a small bowl. Use a small brush to stir them thoroughly.
Step 4:
Lay a sheet of parchment paper on the table and place a piece of spring roll pastry in front of you with one corner pointing towards you. Use the brush to coat the entire pastry with the sealing mixture.
Step 5:
Place a suitable amount of the fish mixture in the center of the pastry using a small spoon. Fold the sides of the pastry over the filling, then roll it up tightly to form a neat spring roll.
Step 6:
Once rolled, lightly dust the spring rolls with a bit of flour to give them a crispy texture.
Step 7:
Heat a generous amount of sunflower oil in a wide frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the spring rolls, turning them continuously to avoid burning. When they turn golden brown, remove them from the pan and place them on parchment paper to drain the excess oil.
Step 8:
Finally, arrange the fish spring rolls neatly on a serving plate and serve them hot.
Enjoy your crispy and delicious fish spring rolls!
