  • ½ cup of non-alcoholic beer
  • 1 tablespoon of instant yeast
  • 1 cup of boiled peas
  • 1 teaspoon of butter
  • ¼ cup of fresh mint leaves
  • 3 pickled cucumbers
  • 1 cup of mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons of finely chopped onion
  • ¼ cup of parsley
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 cups of vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions for Preparation:

Preparing the Batter:

  1. Mix the yeast and beer: In a suitable bowl, combine the instant yeast and non-alcoholic beer, mixing until well combined.
  2. Prepare the flour mixture: In another bowl, mix the flour, black pepper, and salt until evenly combined.
  3. Combine both mixtures: Gradually add the flour mixture to the yeast and beer mixture while stirring continuously until a smooth batter forms.
  4. Let it rest: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the batter rest in a warm place to rise.

Preparing the Mashed Peas:

  1. Mash the peas: Place the boiled peas in a blender or food processor, adding a pinch of salt. Blend for about a minute until smooth.
  2. Add mint: Add the fresh mint leaves and blend again until the ingredients are well combined.
  3. Set aside: Transfer the mashed peas into a bowl and set them aside.

Preparing the Tartar Sauce:

  1. Chop the pickles: In a blender, blend the pickled cucumbers for about 30 seconds.
  2. Add other ingredients: Add the parsley and chopped onions to the blender and blend until the mixture is well combined.
  3. Mix with mayonnaise: Stir the blended mixture into the mayonnaise, mixing well until fully combined.
  4. Set aside: Pour the tartar sauce into a small serving bowl and set it aside.

Cooking the Fish:

  1. Heat the oil: Pour the vegetable oil into a deep frying pan and heat over medium heat until hot.
  2. Coat the fish: Dip the fish fillets into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
  3. Fry the fish: Fry the fillets in the hot oil until golden and cooked through on all sides. Once cooked, remove and place them on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

Serving:

  1. Serve: Arrange the fried fish fillets on a serving dish alongside the mashed peas and tartar sauce.
  2. Enjoy: Serve the dish hot to enjoy the delicious flavors with your family or guests.

Bon appétit!
