- ⅔ cup of plain yogurt.
- ⅔ cup of heavy cream.
- 1 teaspoon of grated ginger.
- Salt (to taste).
- 1 tablespoon of garam masala.
- 1 tablespoon of ground coriander.
- 1 teaspoon of red chili powder.

- 3 green cardamom pods.
- 1 teaspoon of minced garlic.
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste.
- ⅔ cup of water.
- 2 bay leaves.
- Fresh coriander (for garnish, as desired).
Preparation of Indian Butter Chicken:
In a bowl, mix the ground coriander, garam masala, cumin seeds, red chili powder, cardamom pods, and minced garlic. Stir until well combined.
Add the tomato paste and yogurt to the spice mixture, stirring until a smooth, uniform sauce forms. Add the chicken cubes and coat them thoroughly in the mixture. Set aside to marinate.

Add the marinated chicken to the pot and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 7 minutes.
Pour in the water and add the bay leaves. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the chicken for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
After 30 minutes, pour in the heavy cream and stir until the ingredients are well combined. Let the mixture simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
Your Indian butter chicken is now ready! Remove from the heat and serve in a dish, garnished with freshly chopped coriander. Serve it hot to your family or guests, and enjoy the rich, delicious flavors. Bon appétit!
