For the Kofta:

  • 500 grams of minced meat
  • ½ cup of finely chopped parsley
  • 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper

For the Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, mashed
  • 1½ cups of mashed tomatoes
  • ½ cup of yogurt
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

How to Prepare Kofta Dawood Basha with Sauce:

For the Kofta:

  1. In a suitable bowl, mix the minced meat, chopped parsley, finely chopped onion, salt, and black pepper. Combine all ingredients thoroughly until fully blended.
  2. Knead the mixture well until you have a smooth and even consistency, then shape the mixture into medium-sized meatballs.
  3. Heat a suitable amount of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, then add the meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through on all sides.
  4. Remove the meatballs from the oil and place them on paper towels to absorb the excess oil.

For the Sauce:

  1. In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat, then add the chopped onion and sauté until softened.
  2. Add the mashed garlic, mashed tomatoes, black pepper, and salt. Stir the ingredients until they are well combined.
  3. Lower the heat and continue stirring occasionally for about 7 minutes.
  4. Place the meatballs in a serving dish, pour the sauce over them, and top with yogurt.
