Kofta with cheese is a delicious dish that’s loved by all family members, regardless of age. It’s easy to prepare, taking only 15 minutes to prepare and 20 minutes to cook. This dish also offers high nutritional value, making it beneficial for the body. For the Peppers and Toppings:

  • 4 medium-sized green bell peppers, cut in half.
  • 2 cups of tomato sauce.
  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Olive oil (as needed).

For the Kofta:

  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin.
  • 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika.
  • 1 kilogram of ground beef or lamb.
  • 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped.
  • 3 tablespoons of chopped parsley.

Preparation Method:

  1. Prepare the Kofta Mixture:
    In a large bowl, mix the ground meat with chopped parsley, finely chopped onion, paprika, cumin, cinnamon, and salt. Blend all the ingredients well until fully combined.

  2. Prepare the Bell Peppers:
    Arrange the halved bell peppers in a baking tray. Brush the insides of the peppers with olive oil.

  3. Stuff the Peppers:
    Fill each bell pepper half with the prepared kofta mixture.

  4. Add the Sauce and Cheese:
    Pour the tomato sauce over the stuffed peppers. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each pepper.

  5. Bake:
    Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F). Once hot, place the tray in the oven and bake for about 35 minutes or until the peppers are cooked through, and the mozzarella cheese is melted and bubbly.

  6. Serve:
    Remove the tray from the oven and transfer the kofta-stuffed peppers to a serving dish.
