For the crust:
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour.
- 1/3 cup of butter, cut into small cubes (at room temperature).
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- 3 tablespoons of cold drinking water.
For the filling:
- 4 medium-sized mangoes, peeled and cut into medium-sized cubes.
- 1 can of sweetened condensed milk.
- 3 eggs.
- 1/2 cup of honey.
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.
Steps to Prepare Mango and Honey Tart:
Preparing the crust:
- Place the flour, salt, and butter cubes into an electric mixer bowl, and blend until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Gradually add the cold water while continuing to mix until a dough forms.
- Place the dough into a plastic bag and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface, then transfer it to a greased tart pan.
- Use a fork to poke small holes in the dough, then cover it with parchment paper.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Once ready, bake the tart crust for 15 minutes.
Preparing the filling:
- Mash three-quarters of the mango cubes, then add the sweetened condensed milk, honey, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully combined.
