Instructions for Preparing Number Cake:
In a large bowl, mix the flour, powdered sugar, crushed almonds, and butter until the ingredients are well combined.
In a small bowl, beat the eggs with vanilla extract, then add to the flour mixture along with the salt. Mix well until a cohesive dough forms.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Once chilled, roll the dough on parchment paper and cut out a large-sized number shape of your choice.
Return any remaining dough to the refrigerator for another 30 minutes, then repeat the process to cut out another desired number shape.
Continue chilling and cutting numbers until all the dough is used.
Place the number-shaped dough pieces on a buttered baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 10-13 minutes or until golden. Let the baked numbers cool completely.
In a separate bowl, mix powdered sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Add the whipping cream and vanilla extract, mixing until a firm filling forms.
Spread a layer of filling on each number piece, then stack a second layer of baked number dough on top. Decorate the top with berries, orange slices, meringue, and fresh mint as desired.
Your number cake is now ready! Serve to family or guests and enjoy its wonderful flavor. Bon appétit!
