Oat kofta is known for its delicious taste and high nutritional value due to its ingredients. It is also easy to prepare, taking no more than 15 minutes for preparation and an additional 30 minutes to cook. Ingredients for Oat Kofta:
- 1 kilogram of lean meat.
- 250 grams of oats.
- 1 medium-sized onion.
- Salt to taste.
- Black pepper to taste.
Ingredients for the Sauce:
- 5 cloves of minced garlic.
- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
- 1 cup of small diced tomatoes.
- 1 cup of meat broth.
- Salt to taste.
- Black pepper to taste.
How to Prepare Oat Kofta:
In a food processor, combine the meat, onion, and oats. Blend the ingredients until they are well combined.
Add a suitable amount of salt and black pepper, then blend again until all the ingredients are fully mixed.
Shape the mixture into small balls.
Heat a suitable amount of oil in a pot over medium heat, then add the meat and oat balls. Fry them, turning occasionally until they become golden brown on all sides. Remove the oat kofta balls from the pot.
Preparing the Sauce:
In another pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat, then add the minced garlic. Stir occasionally until the garlic releases its aroma.
Add the diced tomatoes and cook until they soften, then pour in the meat broth and stir occasionally until the mixture starts to boil.
Add the fried oat kofta balls to the sauce and let the ingredients simmer for an additional three minutes.
Remove the pot from the heat and transfer the ingredients to a serving dish. Serve alongside a plate of white rice.
