Roulade Toast (Fried Toast Rolls) is a light, tasty appetizer that is easy to prepare and takes only about 10 minutes to get ready. This delicious dish is perfect for serving alongside other main dishes and is enjoyed by both children and adults alike. It serves 6-7 people.

Ingredients for Roulade Toast (Fried Toast Rolls):

Roulade Toast (Fried Toast Rolls)

For the Filling:

  • 2 medium-sized potatoes, boiled
  • ½ cup of green peas
  • 2 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 2 medium-sized green chili peppers, finely chopped
  • ½ cup of fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of dried coriander
  • ½ teaspoon of chili powder (adjust according to taste)

For the Toast:

  • 1 pack of toast bread
  • 1 cup of milk

For Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped

Preparation Method:

  1. Prepare the Filling:
In a deep bowl, mash the boiled potatoes using a fork. Add green peas, spring onions, chopped green chili, fresh coriander, curry powder, salt, black pepper, dried coriander, and chili powder. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined and the filling is smooth.

  2. Prepare the Toast:
Trim the brown edges from the toast slices. In a shallow dish, pour the milk. Gently dip your fingertips into the milk and lightly moisten each toast slice until it's just soft enough to roll but not soggy.

  3. Assemble the Rolls:
Take a portion of the filling and place it on one end of each toast slice. Roll the slice tightly into a cylindrical shape. Repeat the process until all the toast and filling are used.

  4. Frying the Rolls:
Heat sunflower oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the rolls in batches until they turn golden brown on all sides. Remove the rolls and place them on paper towels to drain any excess oil.

  5. Serve:
For serving, place a layer of finely chopped parsley on a serving dish, then arrange the fried toast rolls on top. Serve warm for the best flavor.

Enjoy your crispy and delicious Roulade Toast!
