  • 10 cloves of minced garlic.
  • 6 tablespoons of lemon juice.
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil.
  • 2 teaspoons of curry powder.
  • 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • 2 teaspoons of black pepper.
  • 6 tablespoons of ready-made garlic sauce (mayonnaise).
  • Arabic bread (as needed).
  • 4 chicken breasts, sliced.

How to Prepare Arabic Shawarma:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:
    In a suitable bowl, mix the minced garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice. Stir the ingredients until well combined.

  2. Marinate the Chicken:
    Add the sliced chicken breasts to the marinade and mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 5 hours.

  3. Cook the Chicken:
    Grease a baking tray with a little oil and spread the marinated chicken slices evenly on it. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Once the oven is hot, place the tray inside and cook the chicken for about 30 minutes until fully cooked.

    Lay out the Arabic bread on a flat surface. Spread an appropriate amount of garlic sauce (mayonnaise) on each piece of bread, then add a portion of the cooked chicken slices.

  5. Grill the Shawarma Wraps:
    Roll the bread into wraps and grill them on both sides until golden brown using a suitable grill.

  6. Serve:
    Cut the shawarma sandwiches into small rolls and place them on a serving dish. Serve alongside some pickled cucumbers, Russian coleslaw, and mayonnaise.
