  • 1 kg of thinly sliced chicken breast
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 cardamom pod
  • Mastic gum (optional, to taste)
  • Sliced colorful bell peppers (cut into long strips)
  • 1 medium-sized onion, sliced
  • 1 cup of sliced mushrooms
  • ¼ cup of soy sauce
  • 1 can of cooking cream
  • 1 teaspoon of table salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of meat spices

Preparation Steps for Shawarma with Mushrooms and Chicken:

  1. Sauté the Spices:

    • Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add the cardamom and mastic gum, stirring until well combined and fragrant.
  2. Cook the Chicken:

    • Add the sliced chicken breast to the pan and stir occasionally until the chicken changes color.
    • Pour in a small amount of water and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked.
  3. Add Vegetables:

    • Add the sliced onions and stir until they soften and change color.
    • Next, add the sliced mushrooms and bell peppers, stirring the ingredients together until they are well combined.
  4. Flavor the Shawarma:

    • Pour in the soy sauce, then add the meat spices, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to ensure all the flavors are evenly distributed.

    • Pour in the cooking cream and allow the mixture to simmer on medium heat for no more than 5 minutes (be careful not to overcook the cream, as it can affect the taste).
  6. Serve:
