Steps to Prepare Kibbeh Al-Ruz Moslawiyah
Cook the Rice:
- Rinse the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 10 minutes.
- In a pot, bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Add the mixed spices, salt, and a chicken bouillon cube. Stir until well combined.
- Add the rice to the boiling water and cook until tender. Once done, spread the cooked rice on a plate to cool completely.
Prepare the Filling:
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
- Add the minced meat, mixed spices, and cook until browned.
- Stir in the parsley and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the filling is well combined.
Form the Kibbeh Balls:
- Mash the cooked rice into a smooth, cohesive dough.
- Divide the rice dough into small balls. Flatten each ball slightly and create a cavity in the center.
- Fill the cavity with the prepared meat filling and seal it tightly, reshaping into smooth balls.
- Place the stuffed kibbeh balls in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.
Fry the Kibbeh Balls:
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan.
- Fry the kibbeh balls in batches until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the kibbeh from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serve:
- Arrange the fried kibbeh on a serving platter and serve hot.
